Join Transported at the ever-popular Bells' Pumpkin Patch this October and discover a little bit of Illuminate magic among the autumn fun!

We're bringing along a spectacular new mermaid lantern puppet for its first public outing. Created especially for Boston's Illuminate Parade 2026 by Lumo Workshop and decorated by Boston residents in a free workshop in June 2026, this larger-than-life lantern is inspired by the mermaids featured on Boston Borough's coat of arms and the decorative carvings and architectural details found throughout the town.

Come and say hello, have your photo taken with our giant mermaid lantern, pick up information about Illuminate 2026, and find out how you can get involved in Boston's annual heritage-inspired lantern parade.

This year's Illuminate theme, Looking Up, celebrates the sculptures, carvings and hidden details that adorn buildings across Boston, helping tell the story of the town's unique heritage and character.

Alongside our activity, visitors can enjoy everything Bells' Pumpkin Patch has to offer as it celebrates its 10th anniversary, including pumpkin picking, fairground rides, craft activities, photo stations, pumpkin cannons, an assault course and much more.
