The Info

Join us at Freiston Shore for a series of creative workshops inspired by Lincolnshire's incredible birdlife and the migratory species that visit our coastline each year.

Led by Nick Jones from Transported, participants will help create and paint a collection of bird-shaped waymarkers inspired by the wildlife of Freiston Shore. These artworks will become part of the visitor experience at the reserve, helping to guide visitors towards a new Flyways-themed mural and celebrating the birds and migration stories that connect Lincolnshire to the wider world.

The workshops are linked to a new mural commissioned by the RSPB for the reserve's refurbished bird hide and created by artist Chris Lewis Jones. Together, the mural and waymarkers will help tell the story of migration and the importance of Freiston Shore for visiting bird species.

Building on the success of the Transported and RSPB Flyway Trail, this project forms part of a wider ambition to create creative, wildlife-themed waymarkers and visitor experiences at nature reserves and public spaces across the area.

Whether you're interested in wildlife, birds, art, or simply want to take part in a creative community project, everyone is welcome.
