Flag Display at Lloyds Tour of Britain Men 2026 Boston visit
Boston, Lincolnshire will host the start of Stage Two of the Lloyds Tour of Britain Men on Thursday 3 September 2026, bringing one of Britain's biggest professional cycling events to the town for the first time in the race's modern history.
The stage begins in Boston town centre before heading towards Skegness, taking riders through the Lincolnshire countryside and communities including Carrington and Ravesby.
The Boston stage follows Stage One, which takes place on Wednesday 2 September and starts and finishes in Lincoln.

About the Lloyds Tour of Britain Men
The Lloyds Tour of Britain Men is the UK's leading professional cycle race and forms part of the prestigious UCI ProSeries calendar. The event attracts elite cycling teams and riders from across the UK and around the world, competing across multiple stages.
In 2026, Lincolnshire hosts two stages of the race, with Boston chosen as the official start location for Stage Two. It marks a significant moment for the town and offers residents and visitors the chance to experience world-class cycling on their doorstep.
From Boston, riders will travel through the county's distinctive rural landscape before finishing on the coast in Skegness.

Current timings for the start of Stage Two are:
• 10:30am – Lead car departs from Market Place, Boston
• 10:45am – Official race start on Boston Road
• 10:50am – Riders pass through Carrington
• 11:04am – Riders pass through Ravesby

Transported's Community Flag Project
To celebrate the arrival of the Lloyds Tour of Britain Men in Boston, Transported has been working with local residents to create a series of vibrant flag designs inspired by cycling, Boston and the Lincolnshire landscape.
Led by artists Dovile Sakalauskaite and Emily Cartwright, the project has brought people together through a series of creative quilling workshops with community groups including:
• The Crafty Coffee Club
• Tonic Health's HAF Group at Holbeach Hub
• Tonic Health's HAF Group at Pescod Hall
Participants created intricate paper artworks reflecting themes of cycling, movement, local pride and the surrounding landscape.
Emily Cartwright then transformed the community-created designs into two digital artworks. With support from Emma Osbourn at the University of Lincoln, the designs have been professionally printed onto fabric to create a collection of eight celebratory flags marking the race's visit to Boston.
The final display location is still to be confirmed, but we're looking forward to showcasing the flags in Boston town centre on race day and joining residents and visitors in cheering on the riders.
