more-than-a-part II is an extension of our CREATE-on project more-than-a-part. We asked Bostonians to chat with us about their lockdown 1 experiences and the conversations inspired artwork of a ‘tapestry’ of individual experiences using cyanotypes. The artwork will be installed in several key Boston locations.
In this project, we are inviting Boston residents to share your story of lockdown to be turned into window decals – we want to know the highs, the lows, the challenges and examples of what you are grateful. The submitted stories will then be turned into artworks that will be displayed in windows around the town.
We hope that the window stickers will not only brighten up the town and give a trail for your daily exercise, but will also unite the community.
In the video below, Steven Hatton, the artist behind the project explains it in more detail.
Please send your story to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you are apart of a group, we’d love to have to a chat with you about how you and your group have been getting through lockdown.
This project is a part of our Creative Response to Loneliness programme.
