Transported are kicking off 2019 with a season of artist-led workshops at Boston Guildhall as part of Transported’s The Boston Almanac; a creative seasonal calendar celebrating Boston’s mixed cultural heritage.
Each artform will take inspiration from its surroundings in the Guildhall and the Luttrell Psalter; a 14th Century illustrated book that depicts Lincolnshire life.
Join Aga Kowalska on Friday 18th January, 25th January and Friday 1st February and 8th February from 1pm – 3pm for four 2-hour workshops.
There are still spaces available for Friday 25th until the 8th for only £15!
In this workshop, participants will learn the skills of illustration, with a special twist.
Boston Guildhall’s treasures will be the starting point for this opportunity in which participants will be using drawing to explore their personal story of cultural heritage.
The course is £20 in total and can be paid either by cash or cheque. All materials and equipment will be supplied and the work produced will contribute to an exhibition at Boston Guildhall.
To book, visit the centre in person or contact Polly Wilkinson. Also for more info and alternate payment methods; contact Polly on polly.wilkinson@boston.gov.uk.
